Welcome to your home learning for Wednesday 8th July 2020!
Here you will find your tasks for the day. If you have any worries or concerns, you know where to find me.
Joke of the day:
Q: How do bees get to school?
A: By school buzz!
Fact of the day:
A snail breathes through its foot.
Please follow one of the links on the Year 4 home page to either Cosmic Kids, GoNoodle, PE with Joe Wickes or Smiling Minds. The choice is up to you this week! Make sure you stay fit and healthy.
Please make sure you are dedicating about 25 minutes per day to reading. Remember you can quiz at home too!
Today we are looking at Special focus 3. It is a recap on using a possessive apostrophe in plural words. Remember, plural means more than one. Possession means something belongs.
The girl’s pencils (There is one girl who owns some pencils)
The girls’ pencils (There are a few girls, each with some pencils)
If the word is a plural which does not already end in ‘s,’ the apostrophe goes before the ‘s.’ These are irregular words. Watch out for children, people, men and women.
Today you are writing your introduction to your story. Set the scene by describing the beautiful area ruined by an ugly rubbish dump.
As the term is drawing to an end, I thought it would be nice to look at what we have learnt across the year with an investigation! Today, please complete Clue 1.
Tomorrow, we have a computing lesson. Therefore, it is really important that we remind ourselves how to stay safe online. Please read through the PowerPoint. Once you have read and understood it, come up with 5 rules that help you stay safe online. There is an optional word search for you to have a go at after. If there are any words that you are unsure of, please ask someone in your house to explain it.
