Wednesday 6th May 2020

Welcome to your home learning for Wednesday 6th  May 2020!

Here you will find your tasks for the day. If you have any worries or concerns, you know where to find me.

Fact of the day:

The surface of Mars is covered in rust, which is what makes it appear red

Joke of the day:

What falls in winter but never gets hurt?

Snow!

PE:

Please follow one of the links on the Year 4 home page to either Cosmic Kids, GoNoodle, PE with Joe Wickes or Smiling Minds. The choice is up to you this week! Make sure you stay fit and healthy.

Reading:

Please make sure you are dedicating about 25 minutes per day to reading. Remember you can quiz at home too!

Spellings:

  • Straight
  • Strange
  • Strength
  • Suppose
  • Surprise

Write each of your words out in dots, then join the dots to write your spellings.

English:

Today, you will be using your plan to write your autobiography, Remember, it is just about the isolation time. Try to make it as informative as possible. Remember autobiographies are different to diaries, as they are often published for other people to read. I will be reading yours, once you have finished and edited it! Feel free to use the WAGOLL or the sentence starter bank to inspire you.

Maths

Today we are converting between 12 hour and analogue clocks. Time is a very complicated concept, so use the pictures below to help you. If you are finding the main activity a bit of a struggle, you may need to practise reading an analogue clock. I have attached some sheets which will help you.

French

Today we are going to learn how to say certain hobbies in French. Follow the PowerPoint and then have a go at the activities. It will probably be helpful to have the second page of the PowerPoint easily accessible. You could also have a look at some French activities by following the link!
