Writing

The next part of your caterpillar diary.

Can you add day 7 to your caterpillar diary? What has happened today?

They are now 7 days old! Can you spot some changes? What can you see?

Maths - Number

I have a counting challenge for you all to do today - We have looked at in class before - it is the counting fish.

If you scroll down the page on the above website you will find many counting songs, but the one we have used in class before that the children may like is ‘Count the fish’ – it is a relaxing treat I hope you enjoy it?

A counting game to play today

Counting on the bus game – there are some print outs for today – but you could play the same game if you draw out the bus and use small world people or counters – may make it more fun or more of a challenge?

Up to you.

PDF bus game and resources are below.

Knowledge and Understanding

The Life cycle of a Caterpillar

Today we are going to think about the life cycle of a caterpillar. We are a little way off our own caterpillars turning in to butterflies just yet! I have attached some sheets that may help – the children may want to draw it out themselves. Create their own versions, make it 3D or cut and stick the hand out.  Entirely up to you!

See the attached photograph of my efforts.

There is a PDF attached and some photographs to help.
