Fact of the day:

On this day in 1922, Judy Garland was born. See if you can find out which famous film she was in. I'll give you a clue, there are a tin man, a lion and a scarecrow in it!!

 

PE:

Start your day off with some exercise. Choose either to follow the Joe Wicks live workout or a yoga routine from the Cosmic Kids Yoga link!

 

Reading:

Reading for at least 20 minutes today, independently or to an adult. Don't forget, you can still quiz on books at home!

Maths:

Today we are going to think about making 3D shapes. 

 

You will need: 

  • Something to act as the edges (lollysticks, cocktail sticks, pencils)
  • Something to act as the vertices (bluetac, playdough, mini marshmallows)

 

You can make 3D shapes out of whatever you have at home. You could adapt this and use lego or other building materials.

 

Your task is to try to make these shapes:

Last week you thought about 10 things you would take to space! Today, you're going to think about 10 things you would take to Antarctica!

 

Space and Antarctica are very, very different places!! You will need to think about sensible things you might need it a very cold place!

 

Narrow down your 10 things write a sentence about why you would take that thing with you!
