Welcome to your home learning for Wednesday 10th June 2020!
Here you will find your tasks for the day. If you have any worries or concerns, you know where to find me.
Joke of the day:
Why couldn’t the pony sing ‘Happy Birthday’?
Because she was just a little hoarse!
Fact of the day:
The queen has two birthdays!
Please follow one of the links on the Year 4 home page to either Cosmic Kids, GoNoodle, PE with Joe Wickes or Smiling Minds. The choice is up to you this week! Make sure you stay fit and healthy.
Please make sure you are dedicating about 25 minutes per day to reading. Remember you can quiz at home too!
Have a go at dots and dashes in Unit 13. I have attached the answers for once you have finished.
Read Chapter 8 and THINK about the following questions:
We are still working on our persuasive letters today. You will use some of the facts that you found out from Monday. Try to make it as informative as possible!
Today we are moving co-ordinates on a grid. The PowerPoint explains 'translation.' It will help you understand how to count on the grid. However, on the worksheet, you don't need to draw the shape again, you just mark a spot. The worksheet page looks slightly similar to Monday’s but it is different!
To move positions, you must just read the instructions carefully. Make sure you double check how many spaces you should jump! Follow the squares and then mark the new position with a new small ‘x.’
Today we need to learn about renewable and non-renewable resources. We actually live in an area which uses lots of renewable resources. Read through the PowerPoint before you start to look at the task. The task is a make believe situation. However, Buckingham Park is a large space- especially if they knocked down the café, tennis courts and playground! It would be a perfect spot for a wind farm!
