Good Morning Year Five!
Today is the 12th May and it marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale.
You, have learnt about her before during your time in school, but she was such an inspirational person it's important we get to celebrate her again!
Below is a video all about her achievements:
Miss S Group: Today we are focusing on the word- accommodate.
Mrs T Group: Today we are focusing on the word - accident
Today we are going to think back to last week's chapters of Percy Jackson, Annabeth and Percy spoke a lot about the big 12. They are the main Gods and Goddesses that the Ancient Greeks believe in.
Today I would like you to read through the information about them. I have also included Dionysus who is Mr D in the book!
Then you can choose to make one, two, or even twelve top trump cards of the Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Greece.
It is important to mention that there are more than 12 Gods and Goddesses HOWEVER these are the main ones.
As well as finding out about the Gods, how about you listen to some of the stories of their adventures.
The link below takes you to the BBC radio page where you can listen to some of their stories:
Theseus and Minotaur - you will recognise the creature from Percy Jackson
Orpheus and Eurydice - such a sad story, and the ultimate test of following instructions.
1) 8124 x 47
2) 983 ÷ 6 (give answer in remainders)
3) What are the common factors of 18 and 32?
Today's Maths focuses on Place Value, have a read through.
Everything on the sheet you should be able to have a go at, start with Good and make your way through it!
