Thursday 4th June
Fact of the day:
Sully from Monsters Inc has over 2.3 million hairs on his body. It took animators around 12 hours to produce a single frame of him! That's a long time for one picture!
Start your day off with some exercise. Choose either to follow the Joe Wicks live workout or a yoga routine from the Cosmic Kids Yoga link!
Reading for at least 20 minutes today, independently or to an adult. Don't forget, you can still quiz on books at home!
Today's lesson shouldn't be too bad. It's all about measuring - reading lengths on rulers and drawing lines accurately.
There's one thing I will remind you of before you get going today:
When we use a ruler, remember you always start at 0cm!
Today you are going to do another reading comprehension. This time it will be about looking after a bearded dragon!
In the document below, there are 3 different levels of reading comprehension. This one starts with the trickiest comprehension, then a middle level set, then an easier set.
For each level you will find:
All of these resources are together before the next level of reading comprehension.
I hope you enjoyed making your portrait last week. It is tricky to do and takes a lot of practice. I would love to see some of your work if you want to email it to me.
This week we are still working on portraits, but also using our Art and Maths skills.
The link below will explain what you have to do. If you have a printer, you can print off a photograph of yourself, if not, maybe you already have a photo of yourself that you can use.
Make sure it is one of just your face, so you can focus on the detail.
