Home learning tasks for Thursday 30th April

Welcome to Thursday

Today is going to be an 'Arty' day!

You have been working so hard this week - I have seen amazing story telling, writing and hearing some lovely news about your learning. Well done.

Our 'Arty' day will be based around The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I hope you like it!  (please do not worry parents - if this fills you with dread - draw a picture, do some reading and make lunch together.) Or as Mrs Crees says find a programme that you can watch together.

Physical development

Get moving - What are you going to do today? Walking, running, riding your bike, a work out from the television? What ever it is  - have fun!

Reading

Read an ebook – can you spot any ‘oy’ words?

I thought you might like this one – it is an information book about a boy that makes a garden.  I thought it had a nice link to last week’s story.

Writing

Today's entry for your Caterpillar diary could be a drawing - ask your grown up if they can do the writing for you - remember to tell them what to write - remember to remind them about finger spaces and full stops.

Maths - Number

Have another go at your bus game today.

Are you able to start at the number of the passengers – rather than going back to 1 each time?

Expressive Arts

I thought you might like to create some Very Hungry Caterpillar art work today - I would love you to send me a photo of your finished picture - Please do not put names on them then I can create a gallery page for the website.

I have added some weblinks to some ideas - you might just want to look at them for inspiration. The Eric Carle Website has lots of ideas too. I have put the address below.

I look forward to seeing your ideas - You could all do one!!
