Please make sure you are dedicating about 25 minutes per day to reading. Remember you can quiz at home too!



Today is your last chance to practise words with a –ion ending before a mini test tomorrow. Have a go at writing out these words in a rainbow style. Write each letter in a different colour.

Listen to Chapter 14 and then THINK about these questions:

  • What words would you use to describe the men?
  • How does Tom react to the bullies?

Today you are becoming poets! Your poem must be about Lockdown and must be no more than 20 lines, but apart from that you are free to come up your own poem. If you are stuck use some of your ideas from yesterday. If you are still stuck, you the Haiku planner attached below.


Today, we are dividing by a hundred.

As 100 has two place holders, I know I need to move it two spaces.

As I am dividing, I know my final number will be smaller than my original, so I move all digits to the right.
