Thursday 11th June
Fact of the day:
On this day in 1933, Gene Wilder was born. See if you can find out which famous film he was in. It might be about chocolate...
Start your day off with some exercise. Choose either to follow the Joe Wicks live workout or a yoga routine from the Cosmic Kids Yoga link!
Reading for at least 20 minutes today, independently or to an adult. Don't forget, you can still quiz on books at home!
Today we are going to carry on from the 3D shapes you looked at yesterday. After exploring them practically, let's see if you can work through this worksheet.
The portraits you sent last week were absolutely brilliant. You are all really improving your observation skills, rather than just drawing what you 'think' you look like!
This week you are going to do the first part of a piece of art. Look at the pictures below. What do you notice is the same in all of them?
Hopefully you noticed that:-
* the portraits were drawn in black pen
* the face was painted with watercolours of similar colours.
* the face had no features, just one eye!
Now it is your turn.
Draw your portrait using a pencil first of all.
Remember to draw one eye and no other features.
Then choose 3 watercolours (or coloured pencils) . Choose cold colours, or warm colours, not a mix of the two. Choose one you like from the pictures.
Dab the colour on the face, but don't blend the colours together completely. You want to be able to see the different colours.
Next week you are going to do the background so make sure you leave it white, and try not to get paint spilt on it!!
Send your finished paintings to us.
