Week 6 w/b 6.12.21

Reading - Read your stage book at home. If you are on Accelerated Reader you can quiz on your book with this link (when you have finished your book). There are also some Victorian reading activities this week.

Spellings -

Rainbow words - Write out your spellings in different colours. Can you make a pattern? Write out each word at least four times.

Making up sentences with your spellings in - With a grown up make up sentences with your spellings in. You or the grown up need to write these down. You can have more than one of your spellings in the same sentence, but every spelling needs to be covered. Keep these safe for the next activity.

Dictated sentences - A grown up can read out the sentence to you made up in the previous activity and you write it down. Can you get the spellings and the other words in your sentences correct?

Quizzing - On Friday, grown up will read out your spellings and you write them down onto a piece of paper. Check your spellings with your grown up. How many did you get right or which words to do you need to practice more?

Literacy - Less this week as we have our Christmas Concert performances

Literacy Monday and Tuesday - Can you write a thank you card to Father Christmas, the elves and reindeer to thank them for all of their hard work? Make sure you have capital letters, full stops, finger spaces and your best handwriting. You can leave this out on Christmas Eve. Decorate you card too.

Literacy Wednesday - Read and practise your Christmas Concert songs.

Literacy Thursday - Do your own Christmas Concert at home. Can you remember the songs we've been learning at school? Do you know any other Christmas songs? Could you Face Time or Zoom a Grandparent and do a Christmas Concert for them?

Maths Monday - Selecting money

Maths Tuesday - Make the same amount

Maths Wednesday - Compare money

Maths Thursday - Find the total

Maths Friday - Play on Numbots for at least 20 minutes. Practise your counting up in 2s from 0 to 60, counting up in 5s from 0 to 100, counting up in 10s from 0 to 120 and 3s from 0 to 36.

Read and practise your Christmas Concert songs.

Music - Learn the words to the Christmas Concert songs and practise the actions that you know. Our Christmas Concert is next week!

History - Make a start on/continue working on your Victorians Topic Homework
