Good morning Year One!
Here are some resources to use today, if you are still at home isolating.
We hope you enjoy your home learning.

Literacy:
Today, your task is to think about the past year and to consider your next school year in Year Two!
Below you will find a short booklet with some sentence starters for you to complete- if you prefer not to print off the booklet, here are the sentences you need to write about:
My friends at school are…
My favourite thing about school is…
I enjoy learning about…
I am good at…
I am looking forward to…
I would like to learn…
You will also need to think about what your new classroom will look like and draw it.
Write up three things you like about your new classroom.
Draw a picture of you with your friends.
In your sentences, try to remember:
*Capital letters
*Finger spaces
*Full stops
*Use the words ‘and’ and ‘because’
*Maybe you could even use and exclamation mark!

Spellings:
Try to spend a few minutes today learning your ‘-ve’ spellings for a quiz on Friday.
Phonics:
On this page from BBC Bite size, you will find lots of videos for different sounds. Watch the short video demonstrating the sound and then play the game to identify pictures with the focus sounds.
You can pick any sounds to look at but try to look at: ear, air and ure

Below you will find two sheets which focus on the split vowels.

Here, you need to read the questions and write the answers:
History:
Create a fact page about some of the Kings and Queens that you have found out about for Year One to use next year.
You might like to watch some of the Horrible History songs again to remind you about them.
You should be able to recall some information about:
King George IV
King Charles II
Queen Elizabeth I
King Henry VIII
Or you might be an expert on another King or Queen of your choice.
On your information page- try to include the following:
*Their name
*Picture
*An interesting fact about them
Try to write about at least 2 Royals.
