Special Educational Needs

At St Peter’s Catholic Primary School we aim to ensure that your children enjoy their learning and fulfil their potential. The staff and governors endeavour to ensure that appropriate provision is made for all pupils within a wholly inclusive environment.

All children have access to the National Curriculum.

In line with the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice, our school SEND policy details the procedures we follow to identify and make provision for pupils who may have a special educational need or disability.

Pupils with SEND are supported in class by their Class Teacher and Teaching Assistants. All our teachers work hard to ensure that their teaching matches the needs of all learners.   All classes have the support of teaching assistants to support our SEND children.

Our Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator / Inclusion Manager is Ms Lucy Gordon

The Governor responsible for Special Educational Needs is Mrs Jane Crowley who is contactable via the school office

Ms Gordon is contactable either by telephone 01273 454066 or email senco@stpetersshoreham.co.uk
