4th February Thursday

Maths

Zoom lesson  9.00 – 10.00

Today, we are:-

Investigating odd and even numbers

We are starting to understand odd and even numbers, and the pattern in the digits at the end of them. Today we are investigating them, to see what we notice.

If you still need to practise using objects, that is fine. Remember, if they can go into pairs, then the number is even. If someone is the odd one out, then the number is odd.

Sheet 1 is looking at the pattern

Sheet 2 has reasoning questions

Sheet 3 is challenge investigations

Literacy

Today we are learning to:-

  • Make a model of the Great Wall of China.

  • Write facts about Beijing.

Use the printed templates to make a model of the Great Wall of China.

Can you write some facts about China on the fact squares and stick them  to the walls? Make sure you write the facts clearly.

R.E

Today we are:-

Learning to understand why saying thank you is important

understand how it feels when someone says thank you.

Is thank you just a word you say? What else needs to happen? (video about gestures of thanks)

Use the thank you cards, and write two a day and give them to someone in your family to say thank you for what they do for you. (Don’t forget to write the reason you are saying thank you.)

What do you notice about what they say or do when you give it to them?
