Today we are going to continue with our newspaper, by writing the ‘main body’ of our newspaper article. This means that we now need to give more information. This should be formal and not include our own opinion.

Again, it must include the following points:

·       What

·       Where

·       How

·       Why

·       When

But you must include statistics and numbers. Use your planning sheet to help.

You might need to split your ideas into small paragraphs. You never see HUGE paragraphs in a newspaper report. The information is concise and snappy.

An object or feature of a landscape or town that is easily and recognised from a distance.
