Art:

We are going to be thinking about self-portraits today and tomorrow. 

A self-portrait is a picture that you draw of yourself. To be able to do this, find yourself a mirror!

You will also need a pencil and a piece of plain paper. 

 

When you are doing your drawing today, you need to think carefully about the proportions (the size of things)!

You don't want to draw your eyes so that they fill up half of your face! Equally, you don't want a tiny dot for a nose or a mouth that is as wide as your face!!

Today you will do all the drawing, and tomorrow you will do the colouring/painting.

 

IMPORTANT - we are working with pencils today. Make sure you are sketching - you don't want to press too hard with the pencil. Use light stokes and don't rush! Try not to do lots of rubbing out today.
