After the Zoom you can either:

  1. Design your own layout and make your own non-fiction page about ‘foxes’ and try to include as many of the non-fiction features that we discussed.

These might include – Heading, sub-heading, labelled diagram, facts and captions to accompany pictures.

OR

  1. Use one of the template below to structure your non-fiction writing about ‘foxes’.

You might want to use or refer to some of the prompts in the documents below:

Handwriting:

Please continue to focus on forming any specific letters you might still need to work on.

If you are forming all letters correctly, we would like you to work on the accurate writing of your name. This can either be just your first name or surname too- depending on how many letters are involved!

Check you are forming each letter of your name accurately.

Make sure all letters are placed on the line and you have clear ascenders and descenders if the letters need them.

Can you keep the letters in your name a consistent size and shape at least 3 times?

Use you handwriting book to remind you of the height of each letter.

Spellings:

Please continue to work on your spellings for this week:

brown, down, clown, train, wait, snail, come, some

Maths Zoom 11:00:

The following maths tasks are optional:

Here is a consolidation task- use your number grid to 50 from last week to find the numbers 1 more/one less. There are 3 pages and they get increasingly harder. If you are completing this to reinforce learning- start with the first page. You do not need to complete all pages!! The third page goes beyond 50.

If you are ready to extend your learning, here are some reasoning and problem solving questions based on one more and one less:

Today you task is to either cut and stick or draw animals into a venn diagram as shown on the sheets below. You can either select one of the templates below or draw your own.

The omnivores will go in the group in the middle because they eat both meat and vegetables/plants.

There are some pictures you might like to select from or think about the animals from the song and draw them.

Try to draw at least 2 animals in each group:

Here is a short meditation for you to listen to, if you would like to end your day with a bit of relaxation!
