Today we will be looking at Equivalent FDP (fractions, decimals and percentages).
Decimals, Fractions and Percentages are just different ways of showing the same value.
0.5 is the same as 1/2 which is also equivalent to 50%
0.25 is a decimal but this is 1/4 when written as a fraction. We can also write this as 25%
0.75 = 3/4 = 75%
A few for you to try:
- Can you think of the equivalent decimal for 9/10?
- Can you think of the equivalent percentage for 0.35?
- What is the equivalent fraction for 60%?
