We are doing a maths zoom at 9am. Please use the link in the email to take part in this.

Today we are going to be recapping metres.

If you were unable to join the zoom, click on this link to watch a video on this topic:

and work through the powerpoint below before you try to complete the worksheet.

We are doing an English zoom at 10:30am. Please use the link in the email to take part in this.

day we are going to write paragraph 3 (our last paragraph) of your book review. This paragraph will be about who you recommend the book to and why.

We will write an example paragraph together during the zoom.

In this paragraph, you need to think carefully about who we would recommend the book to - who is it suitable for?For example, you wouldn't recommend Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to somebody who is in year 1 because it is a long chapter book with trick words and long sentences and chapters.

Success criteria for book review paragraph 3:

  • Capital letters and full stops
  • Adjectives
  • Ly words
  • Conjunctions (and, but, so, because, which)
  • Apostrophes used correctly
  • A/an used correctly
  • Have you thought carefully about who this book is suitable for?
  • Have you given good reasons why you are recommending this book to these people?

Spring and summer are coming!! This means that the sun is going to be stronger! We all love the sun, but it is super important to be safe in the sun.

What do you need to do to stay safe in the sun? I'm sure that you know lots of things that you need to do already.

Below is a powerpoint that explains things you need to do to stay safe.

Your task:

Create a sun safety poster! We usually share these with other classes to make sure that we are passing important information on to other children. Hopefully we can do this when we get back to school.

Your poster needs to be bright and colourful. It should be exciting, put in bubble writing and pictures! It is also really important to put in all the information that people need to stay safe in the sun. I can't wait to see your posters!
