Today we are going to write paragraph 2 of your book review. This paragraph will be about your favourite part and your favourite character from the book

We will write an example paragraph together during the zoom. 

 

Success criteria for book review paragraph 2:

• Capital letters and full stops
• Adjectives
• Ly words
• Conjunctions (and, but, so, because, which)
• Apostrophes used correctly
• A/an used correctly
• Give good reasons why that part is your favourite
• Give good reasons why that character is your favourite

 

Topic:

We are going to be starting our new topic...The Vikings!

The Vikings were in Britain shortly after the Romans. We will learn more about how they came to Britain soon.

Today, you are going to think about how the Vikings communicated. Of course, they were able to speak to each other...but how did they write? They didn't use letters like the ones we have today. They used RUNES. Have a look at the picture below, it shows you runes. 

 

 

Your task:

This afternoon, I would like you to write some sentences about something you did in half term. However....you have to write in Viking Runes!! You can't use the letters we would use if we were doing an English lesson!!

It might take you a little bit of time to get used to! Have a go!

It's like having a secret language!!
