2 - Tuesday 2nd March

Reading - (Zoom at 9.30am)

Today we are continuing to read our class reader.

Don't forget to also read your own book at home-  the new targets have been set, and I will be expecting everyone to meet their targets!

English - (Zoom at 9.30am)

Today we are going to be beginning to write our Lockdown raps.

You will need to make sure you have your notes and ideas from last week at the ready.
Today we are thinking about rhymes and how we can use syllables and beats to form our lines of our poem/raps.
When you are ready begin to think about the lines of poem you could have.
Here are some beats which you could use as background to your raps, pick a rhythm that suits the nature of your poetry!

Here is Miss S's attempt at a few rap choruses! I am sure I could improve them but they are a good start.

It is now your turn to begin to create your rap masterpiece all about lockdown. Have a go, and if you need help, ask on Wednesday's English Zoom lesson.

Rhyme Zone website- where you can look up rhyming words

Maths (Zoom at 11am)

Today is our first day thinking about subtracting fractions.  You will notice many of the skills needed today focus on converting fractions to the same denominator like we have done in our work on adding fractions.

RE

Today we are thinking about the daily sacrifices we can make, with the sacrifice Jesus made for us in mind.

We are called to think about how we might use Jesus' example of sacrifice to benefit our own and others lives for the better.

Think about things we are asked to do in our daily lives that can help enrich and give back to other people. Look at this picture below for some inspiration:

Your task today is to think about things we could do or give up that would benefit or make a difference to other peoples' lives.
Have a look at the example that Miss S has included and see what that means for you.

If you are unsure about what to do there is an alternative activity in which you can respond to scripture.
Using this scripture, can you create a picture response to it, try and incorporate the words into your design.
