Maths:

We are doing a maths zoom at 9am. Please use the link in the email to take part in this. 

Today over zoom we are going to recap the method we learnt yesterday. After we have done this, the children will complete a range of questions independently to practise and secure this method. If children are feeling confident, they can leave the zoom and do these. If there are children who feel they need some more support, I will leave the zoom running and they can speak to me if they need to.

English:

We are doing an English zoom at 10:30am. Please use the link in the email to take part in this. We will discuss how to turn your notes into a paragraph. 

Today we are going to write paragraph one of our diary entry. 

Make sure you have your plan out in front of you when you are writing - plans are made to help you!

Your paragraph today should be 5 or more sentences please. Make sure you are getting detail in there. When your writing is short, it doesn't give the reader much information.  

 

Success criteria: 

• Adjectives
• Adverbs (ly words)
• Conjunctions (and, but, so, because, which)
• Time connectives (next, later on, then)
• Prepositions (behind, in front of, next to, behind, opposite)
• Capital letters and full stops
• Interesting sentence starters

Every 2 weeks, Shoreham Academy are going to release a new activity for you to do, and today you can do the first one...it involves socks!!
