Maths:
We are doing a maths zoom at 9am. Please use the link in the email to take part in this.
Today we are going to be thinking about related statements. This sounds very fancy but it just means that we are going to think about two number sentences which are similar...but different!
This would be a great lesson to catch on zoom if you are able to.
If you were unable to join the zoom, click on this link to watch a video on this topic:
and work through the powerpoint below before you try to complete the worksheet.
English:
We are doing an English zoom at 10:30am. Please use the link in the email to take part in this.
Next week we are going to be writing diary entries. When we write in a diary, we write in first person. This means that we use words like 'I' and 'we'.
Today we are going to look at the differences between 1st, 2nd and 3rd person and when we use these.
If you are unable to join the zoom, have a look through the powerpoint below. Then choose an apporopriate level worksheet to do.
As a guide:
Green group - 1 star
Yellow group - 2 stars
Red group - 3 stars
Computing:
Today we are going to begin our work on coding. Coding is where we give computers the information they need to make them do the things we see on the screen.
It's almost as if we are giving the computer a set of instructions so they can do everything right.
Just think - you would need to follow some instructions to make a cake or play a board game. It might go very wrong if you did one of the steps wrong or got them around the wrong way!
Have a look at this video: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z3tbwmn/articles/zykx6sg
You are going to begin to do some coding work using angry bird characters.
Your job: get the little character to the right place by putting in the right coding blocks.
Think of it as like a puzzle!
Click on this link - it will take you to the website you need! It will give you instructions on how to work the game. https://studio.code.org/hoc/1
There are 20 levels. You DO NOT need to complete them all today. Aim for level 10 at the most today (if you don't get there it doesn't matter). It will start easy and get progressively harder. You will be given some more time later this half term to do some more.
