## Maths - Zoom Input at 11:00am

Today we will be looking at reflections.

What is reflection? What does it mean to reflect a shape?

A geometric transformation resulting in a mirror image.

In a reflection, a shape is flipped over a mirror line or line of reflection to face the opposite direction.

Children will be reflecting shapes in both the x and y axis (all four quadrants) using their knowledge of co-ordinates to support them.

How is a reflection different to a translation?

Reflection is a flip

Translation is a slide
