English: Writing - Zoom Input at 9:30am

For the next two weeks we will be writing guides about how to survive at Camp Green Lake.

Let's start by reading the next few chapters of the story.

  • What rules must you remember?
  • What are the key things you need to do to survive here?

Watch the start of the film 'Holes' below. Whilst watching, I want you to think about the same question, What rules must you remember?

Maths - Zoom Input at 11:00am

Today we will be looking at reflections.

What is reflection? What does it mean to reflect a shape?

A geometric transformation resulting in a mirror image.

In a reflection, a shape is flipped over a mirror line or line of reflection to face the opposite direction.

Children will be reflecting shapes in both the x and y axis (all four quadrants) using their knowledge of co-ordinates to support them.

How is a reflection different to a translation?

Reflection is a flip

Translation is a slide
