Reading 

 Fort most children, we have now moved on from our Read Write Inc book bag books and are continuing with out individual reading levels. (Please ask if you are not sure what level/colour your child is). You should aim for at least 15 minutes of reading. Record your reading in your home journal.

We will also be focusing on whole class reading of a text, which is included in this section. They key questions related to the text are also included. 

This week's text is a story from China. It is called 'The Painter and the Judge.' The focus is speech and expression.

Read the text attached at the bottom of the page. There are some questions included.

Maths

This week we are continuing our work on multiplication.

Today we are learning to:-

Last week we learnt some new vocabulary when you we read the poem 'The Storm Dragon'. Today  you are going to match these new words to their meanings. You will need a pair of scissors and glue to cut and stick the meanings in the correct place.

This week we will be focusing on Geography. Today, you will be learning the continents and oceans of the world and where they are. We will need to find out which continent Great Britain is in, and China, as we will be finding out about this as our topic.
