Today we will be discussing what a fraction actually is.

A fraction is less than a whole. Imagine a unit being cut up. That is a fraction! It is less than one.

Please have a go at 'Dots and dashes' of Unit 8 in your purple spelling book. Top tip: ‘sc’ is a dash. You can check your answers below.

Today, we will be learning about the present progressive tense.

The progressive tenses show something that is ongoing.

Past progressive: a continuing action which started at some point in the past

How to write it: Past tense of was/were with an ‘ing’ word

E.G.

I was going

They were running

Present progressive: means something going on now

How to write it: Present tense am/are with an ‘ing’ word

E.G.

I am going

I am writing
