Monday 27th April

Monday 27th April

Fact of the day:

Your heart is roughly the size of your fist!

PE:

Start your day off with some exercise. Choose either to follow the Joe Wicks live workout or a yoga routine from the Cosmic Kids Yoga link!

Reading:

Reading for at least 20 minutes today, independently or to an adult. Don't forget, you can still quiz on books at home!

Maths:

Today, I would like you to recap your learning on adding and subtracting fractions.

Remember:

When the denominator (bottom number) is the same on the fractions, you focus your attention to the numerator (top number).

There are 2 worksheets for you to work through, the first on adding fractions and the second on subtracting fractions.

Monday 27th yr 3

English

Today I would like you to complete a reading comprehension.
Remember, unless the question is asking you for your opinion, then the answer is most likely to be in the text. Make sure you read the text carefully! You might want to read and discuss the text with an adult at home.

There are 3 to choose from, each with a different level of difficulty:

Cool - If you're feeling a little unsure.

Medium - If you're feeling secure.

Spicy - If you're feeling up to a challenge.

In each of the documents below are the text, the questions and the answers.

Science:

This afternoon we are going to start thinking about our bodies, specifically, our bones. Our bones are very important. See if you can research and find out why, before you watch the following video!

Your Super Skeleton!

Activity 1:

If you have access to a printer, please print page one of the following document. The children can then research where the bones are and colour them in.

If you do not have access to a printer, the children can still research where the bones are and identify them looking at the document.

Activity 2:

I would now like you to use what you already know, have learnt from the video, or some research to answer some questions about the skeleton.

The answers are on this document too!
