Welcome to Monday's home learning page. I hope you are ready for another week of learning. Only one more week until half term!

We begin the week with our Reading Comprehension task. For the next few weeks we will be answering questions about POETRY. Today we are focusing on the key reading skills of FACT RETRIEVAL and INFERENCE.


Please read the whole text carefully – including any definition. Then answer the following questions related to that text.


If you normally stay in the classroom with Miss C for reading, please work on the text and related questions about Out in the Snow.


If you normally go to the library with Mr English for reading, please work on the text and related questions about In the Rush-hour Traffic Jam.

Once you have answered all of the questions, check and your answers carefully using the answers sheets below


Today we will be looking at Multiplying Fractions by Integers. Watch the video below carefully as this will help you with your work by working through some examples to get you started.

Please complete the activity below. Have a go at as many questions as you can. It is okay to leave a question if you are struggling. Remember you can print out the sheets, or just workout the answers in your workbook.

Topic – The Circulatory System (Day 1)

You will be finding out about Circulatory system today. But what is it? And why is it so important?


Your circulatory system is made up of three parts: the heart, blood vessels and the blood itself.Your heart keeps all the blood in your circulatory system flowing. The blood travels through a network of blood vessels to everywhere in your body. It carries useful materials like oxygen, water and nutrients and removes waste products like carbon dioxide.

This day in history: 2001

It would appear that the month of May has been plagued by the release of Shrek films throughout time. Perhaps May 18th 2001 is to root of all the evil: for it was then that the first film was released upon the world.
