Welcome to your home learning for Monday 15th June 2020!
Here you will find your tasks for the day. If you have any worries or concerns, you know where to find me.
Joke of the day:
Q: Why did the computer keep sneezing?
A: It had a virus!
Fact of the day:
A bolt of lightning is six times hotter than the sun.
Please follow one of the links on the Year 4 home page to either Cosmic Kids, GoNoodle, PE with Joe Wickes or Smiling Minds. The choice is up to you this week! Make sure you stay fit and healthy.
Please make sure you are dedicating about 25 minutes per day to reading. Remember you can quiz at home too!
We are continuing with Unit 13 in our spelling books today. Please get someone from home to complete 4 in a row with you (use words with the –ion suffix).
Listen to Chapter 11 and then THINK about these questions:
We are starting the week with a reading comprehension about a poem. We will be looking at poems across the week, so try to spot the features today! Choose the level which is best suited to you and then mark your answers when you have finished.
This week, we are returning to fractions, to make sure that we are confident with dividing by ten and hundred.
Remember, if you have 4 tenths, you just need to put the 4 in the correct place value column, labelled tenths.
A tenth is when a whole is split into 10 equal parts.
We are finishing off our Building bridges topic today by considering a time when bridges were built in the bible. Watch the video to help you understand the bible reading.
