Thursday 1st December was a particularly exciting day at St Peter's. All of the children in Key Stage 2 arrived with hand luggage and spent their morning checking in, having bags checked and receiving inoculations needed to travel. After lunch the children were then escorted into the hall which had been transformed into a state of the art aircraft. The children were very well looked after by real cabin crew and enjoyed in-flight snacks and movies. Safety checks were taken very seriously.
The aircraft set off for multiple destinations with Year 3 landing in Tanzania, Year 4 in Egypt, Year 5 in the USA. Year 6 had a very different landing, luckily they had received emergency landing training from Mrs Thompson, as they found themselves in the middle of a desert island.
The children all enjoyed a range of cultural experiences and then went on to produce some amazing writing. It was a day that we will all remember for a very long time.
