Hello Year One!
It’s Friday! Hooray! We hope you have enjoyed the home learning this week. Here are your tasks for today.
Remember to start your day with an exercise activity. If you’re finding the 30 minute PE with Joe sessions too long, why not try Joe’s 5 minute moves aimed at KS1.
Our new science topic is the Human body and the senses.
Watch and join in with the following song about the body parts.
Can you point to/touch the various body parts mentioned in the video?
Task- Part 1
Draw a picture of your body in your workbook or print out the template below and label the following body parts:
Can you name the 5 senses? Watch the video below to learn all about the 5 senses.
Task- Part 2
On your body picture, use a different colour to write each sense; see, smell, hear, touch, taste next to the body part that uses it.
Please test your child on the following spellings: goat, soap, oak, stew, flew, drew, ask, friend.
Please mark their spellings and let us know how they do.
Play the 3 in a row game.
Remember to read for at least 10 minutes today. If you have finished reading a book, why don’t you have a go at writing a book report. This is an optional task. You may print out the writing frame below or write straight into your workbook.
