Guided Reading:

Today we are finishing The Iron Man. Please quiz on it when you have finished reading it with me, You might need to check the definition of the following words: scuttling, pit, astounded, grid, wizened, scorched

English:

Today we are completing our character description by describing how the Iron Man moves. How can you describe it in a really detailed and imaginative way? What happens when his head moves? What happens when he loses his balance? What happens when his burnt ear gets caught on something? Don’t forget to look at the attached booklet for ideas and challenges.

Maths:

I thought we should recap finding fractions of amounts today. I know we sometimes find this tricky. All you need to remember is to divide by the denominator (the bottom number) and multiply by the numerator (the top number). Choose the activity which will challenge you the most and there is a challenge if you want.

Art:

This half term, as we continue to think about Life Changers, we are thinking about artists who had an impact on the art world. Read the powerpoint to learn about PopArt and the artist Andy Warhol. Then use the fact sheet and powerpoint to make a factfile about this revolutionary artist.

Independent reading:

Please make sure you are reading for 25 minutes. If you can, write down what you think about it in your reading log.
