Welcome to your home learning for Friday 22nd May 2020!
Here you will find your tasks for the day. If you have any worries or concerns, you know where to find me.
Fact of the day:
Your nose and ears never stop growing.
Joke of the day:
Why do bees have sticky hair?
Because they use a honeycomb.
Please follow one of the links on the Year 4 home page to either Cosmic Kids, GoNoodle, PE with Joe Wickes or Smiling Minds. The choice is up to you this week! Make sure you stay fit and healthy.
Please make sure you are dedicating about 25 minutes per day to reading. Remember you can quiz at home too!
Click on the link below to read along with one of my favourite books about a clever invention!
Today you are finishing your balanced argument. You are writing neutral points about why home learning is good. Then you need to add a short paragraph sharing your own opinion.
Today is a bit more fun! We are going to see what you remember after a week learning about statistics. Your job is to record something around your house. For example, you might record the number of different tins you have in your cupboards, or the different types of shoes you have in your house. You might do star jumps for 10 minutes and record how many you do in each minute. You might record how many times a TV presenter says a common word! Maybe you could record the different colour cars that go past your house. Or you could see how people are travelling near you. Your job is to create a graph to show this information. Remember, if it is a time related experiment, you need to use a line graph. If not, you should use a bar chart. Bar charts are used to compare different groups (have a space between bars) or track differences over time (no space between bars).
We are finishing off this half term with a little bit of art! Get ready to create a self-portrait in the style of Roy Lichtenstein!
