Year 6

WELCOME TO YEAR 6

There are 29 children in year 6. Miss Cappella is our teacher. Mr English works very closely with us, taking small groups for English and Maths during the week. Mrs Sherwin, our teaching assistant, makes up our fantastic team!

KEY REMINDERS

We have PE on Wednesdays and Fridays.

We must fill in our daily reading in our homework diaries and get these signed by our parents - these must be handed in on Mondays.

Homework (English and Maths) is set on Fridays and is handed in the following Wednesday.

Spellings are given out every fortnight on a Monday and are tested on the following Friday.

We are expected to have our spelling books and homework diaries in school everyday.

CRIME AND PUNISHMENT

Spring Term: Our topic this term is Crime and Punishment. We will be learning about how crime and punishment has changed throughout history from  1066 until the present day. We will be learning about the justice system and how laws and the police service have changed how punishments are carried out to those who commit crimes. It promises to be an interesting topic with the opportunity for lots of debating and discussion.
