This term in year 4, our cross curricular topic is Ancient Egypt!
So far in literacy we have advertised Egyptian art, written news reports about stolen death masks and have written our own short narrative: An Adventure in Egypt!
In maths we have focused on place value, addition and subtraction, and have conducted an investigation surrounding ancient Egyptian symbols.
In art we have studied, created and critiqued our own Egyptian-style portraits, dabbled in hieroglyphics and created cartouche.
This topic focuses on the geography of Egypt and historical elements, such as King Tutankhamun's tomb!
Spellings are sent out bi-weekly on a Monday, they will be tested at the end of the next week.
Homework: there will be a times table challenge and literacy/maths task sent home every Monday, due in the same Friday. In addition to this, every half term will have a larger homework project, usually arts based.
PE: Tuesday (indoors), Thursday (outdoors)
