Please make sure children's school uniform and PE kits are named in a permanent way. It's tricky to find and return uniform

where a child's name is wearing out etc!

Grace Darling

Welcome to Year 2

In our topic ‘Grace Darling’ we are going to be learning about who Grace Darling was and what she did that was so marvelous! We are going to be exploring history as our main theme this half term.

We will also be going on a trip to Shoreham Lifeboat Station to support our learning within this topic.

We will be talking about...

How did Grace Darling help people?

How does Grace Darling still help us today?

How can we create exciting writing about what we have learned?

How can we help other people?

Is it always easy to help other people?

See our half termly learning maps to find out what we are learning about!

Important information!

The children write their new spellings into their A5 red and white Read Write Inc spelling books every Monday. We have spelling quizzes on Fridays. It's super important that children practise these at home! These spelling books need to be in school every Monday.

New Literacy or Numeracy homework goes out on Wednesdays or Thursday in the A4 orange homework book. Homework needs to be handed in on Monday, or Tuesday at the latest every week. Homework books need to be handed in on time so they can be marked and new homework given.

See the 'Helpful Documents' section further down this page for more useful information and resources.
