China

Welcome to Year 2

In our topic ‘China’ we will be finding out about the geography of China and learning about the food Chinese people eat. Later on, we will be cooking some of our own traditional Chinese food!

We will be talking about...

Where in the world is China?

Is China a bigger country than England?

How many people live in China and how many people live in England?

How are the cities different to the countryside in China?

How we can help look after the environment?

What food do people who live in China eat?

How can we make Chinese inspired music?

How can we create exciting writing about what we have learned?

Important information!

The children write their new spellings into their A5 red and white Read Write Inc spelling books every Monday. We have spelling quizzes on Fridays. It's super important that the children practise these at home!

New Literacy or Numeracy homework goes out on Wednesdays in the A4 orange book. Homework needs to be handed in on Monday, or Tuesday at the latest.

See the 'Helpful Documents' section further down this page for more useful information and resources.
